How to Add an AI Sales Agent to Your Website
Chat software on a website typically boosts conversion by 20%, and visitors who engage with chat convert 2.8x more often than those who don’t. In this demo, I walk through setting up a new web agent from scratch using the YouEx.ai Agent Manager starting with an empty workspace and ending with a live, deployable chat agent.
What’s covered:
Creating a knowledge base by crawling your website (and optionally adding files like PDFs/white papers)
Building a web agent: name, welcome message, system prompt, and conversation starters
Setting up info fields so the agent captures lead info (name, email, problem statement) during conversation
Using offers (discounts, meetings, white papers) to encourage visitors to share their info
Connecting Google Calendar, Outlook, or Calendly for human handoff and meeting scheduling
Testing the agent before going live
Deploying with a simple copy-paste snippet (works with WordPress, Wix, Vercel, etc.)
Display options: popup, side panel, or inline hero placement
The whole setup takes five minutes or less, and every conversation becomes a lead with full context — chat history, pages visited, and click/scroll behavior.
